1. Who we are
The controller responsible for processing personal data on this website is:
Social Concierge GmbH
c/o Impact Hub Zürich AG
Sihlquai 131, 8005 Zürich, Switzerland
UID: CHE-130.149.736
Email: info@socialconcierge.ch
For any questions about data protection, contact us at the email address above.
This policy explains which personal data we collect when you visit socialconcierge.ch, book a call or contact us, why we process it, and what rights you have. We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
2. Data we collect when you visit the website
When you visit our website, our hosting provider automatically records technical information, for example your IP address, the date and time of your visit, the pages you view, the website you came from, and your browser and operating system. We use this data to deliver the website, keep it secure and stable, and understand in anonymous form how visitors use it.
Our website is hosted by Squarespace (Squarespace Inc., USA, and Squarespace Ireland Ltd., Ireland). Squarespace also provides the website statistics we use. For details, see Squarespace’s privacy policy: squarespace.com/privacy.
3. Cookies
Our website uses cookies. These are small text files stored in your browser. Some are necessary for the website to work. Others help us understand how the site is used, for example which pages are visited most. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. If you do, some parts of the website may not work properly.
4. Booking a call
You can book a call with us through our online booking tool, Squarespace Scheduling (Acuity Scheduling, USA). When you book, we collect the information you enter, usually your name, email address, phone number, company and any message you add. We use this data only to arrange and prepare the call and to follow up on your enquiry.
5. Contacting us by email
If you write to us by email, we process your email address and the content of your message to answer your enquiry. We keep this correspondence as long as needed to handle your request, and longer if we have a legal obligation to do so.
6. Videos (Vimeo)
Our website shows videos hosted on Vimeo (Vimeo.com Inc., USA). When a page with a video loads, or when you play a video, your browser connects to Vimeo’s servers. Vimeo may then receive your IP address and information about your device and how you use the video. We load the videos with Vimeo’s “do not track” setting, which limits tracking. For more information, see Vimeo’s privacy policy: vimeo.com/privacy.
7. Fonts (Google Fonts)
To display our website consistently, we use fonts provided by Google Fonts (Google LLC, USA, and Google Ireland Ltd., Ireland). When you open the website, your browser loads the fonts from Google’s servers, and Google receives your IP address in the process. For more information, see Google’s privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
8. Social media
Our website contains links to our profiles and to client content on Instagram and other social media platforms. These are simple links: no data is sent to these platforms until you click a link. Once you visit a platform, its own privacy policy applies.
10. Data transfers abroad
Some of the service providers named above are based in the USA or process data there. We transfer data to the USA only to providers certified under the Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework or, where this is not the case, on the basis of the standard contractual clauses recognised by the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or other suitable safeguards.
11. How long we keep your data
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, or as long as the law requires us to (for example, accounting records must be kept for 10 years under Swiss law). After that, we delete or anonymise it.
12. Data security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. Our website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).
13. Your rights
You have the right to:
ask what personal data we hold about you (right of access)
have incorrect data corrected
have your data deleted, unless we’re required to keep it
object to certain processing of your data
receive the data you gave us in a common electronic format, where applicable
To exercise any of these rights, write to info@socialconcierge.ch. If you believe we’re not processing your data correctly, you can lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), edoeb.admin.ch.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy when our website or the law changes. The current version is always published on this page.
